Pierre Herme Macarons

Not to be confused with macaroons (the tasty little coconut confections), macarons are light and airy and almost melt in your mouth. Imagine two almond meringues sandwiched around ganache or buttercream… The ones at Pierre Herme come in interesting flavor combinations, such as vanilla and olive oil and milk chocolate and passion fruit (both pictured here in one of our macaron picnics on a Paris park bench). This is the sweet life!
