Ambassade d’Auvergne

The restaurant Ambassade d’Auvergne focuses on regional cuisine and wine from Auvergne. For starters, we had a pork pate, and I had a traditional soup of blue cheese and cabbage and duck breast with aligote (mashed potatoes with garlic, creme fraiche, and Cantal cheese). The server stirred a big pot of aligote in front of us, and pulled long ribbons high into the air–it was quite a show!
