Pan con Tomate

If you are alone for Valentine’s Day, like I am–a chef’s “widow,” here is the perfect dinner…

Pan con tomate is a Spanish tapa of grilled or toasted country bread scraped with a cut clove of raw garlic, saturated with a squeezed tomato, and salted. It’s sloppy to eat, super garlicky, and extremely satisfying. Pair with a glass (or two) of Rioja, and turn on a tear-jerker!
