Setting the Mood

Caspari’s paper products are inspired by designers such as Mariano Fortuny and his famous fabrics. If you can afford the real thing, a runner or table cover cut from this expensive cloth would be extraordinary. But you can buy paper place mats, napkins, and even plates that evoke European luxury–the idea is to layer them into the folds of your basic tablewear. For example, I like to use a paper cocktail napkin for the aperitifs, which can be placed on white china for color, in addition to a linen dinner one. Or a paper spread atop a picnic or outdoor table is perfect for appointing a new space. And the real beauty in paper linens is less clean-up…
